Youth Council

We are excited to invite all explorers and scouts aged 13+ to the next Hampshire Youth Council at Cricket Campsite from 10^th to 12^th May. We'd like to see as many young people from different parts of the county as possible. 

Youth Council is a brilliant opportunity for Young People to develop leadership skills and engage with mature themes to make a difference in scouting within Hampshire. At this Youth Council, we will focus on an important issue within Hampshire, which will be provided to us by the County Leadership Team.

Furthermore, the Youth Council provides a platform for Young People to voice their opinions, wants and concerns to senior Hampshire Volunteers and sign up for several Youth Rep roles within the Hampshire volunteering structure. 

Key details:

• Location: Cricket Campsite, River Hamble Country Park, Pyland's Lane, Bursledon, SO31 1BH
• Drop off time (Friday 10^th May): 6-7pm
• Collection time (Sunday 12th May): 4pm
• Cost - £25 paid to Hampshire Scouts (Details of how to pay below)
• Cost is heavily subsidised by Hampshire Scouts and includes a Youth Council Necker, weekend camping (or indoor accommodation), two instructor-led on-site activities, and a weekend of training and project-based activities. The programme also includes lots of game and challenge sessions.
• Option to sleep inside or outside in a tent.
