Do you have a passion for the planet and want to make a practical difference to educate younger sections and improve your local environment? Then you should become a Green Young Leader! Its free and you'll learn loads of skills to enhance your CV, and develop your leadership skills.
Young Leaders can now sign up to secure a place on one of five fully-funded weekend courses at a Scout Adventures Centre this autumn. With a limit of 30 per course, there's just 150 spaces in total!
There is a lot to explore and plenty of information on the Scout Adventures website so we suggest you go there but some basic questions are answered below to whet your appetite.
Anyone who is an Explorer or Explorer Young Leader. You should also check with your leader that they are happy for you to attend the course and you will have to include their details on the booking form.
There are 5 courses running, each with about 30 spaces. We’ll allocate places on a first come first serve basis. You need to complete the application form to get a place, then we’ll get in touch to tell you if you were successful. If we cant offer you a place where you want to go we’ll try to offer an alternative.

You attend a funded 2 night residential at one of the Scout Adventures centres, you learn the 5 instructing ninja skills, and how to deliver the Green Champion programme. Then you deliver the Green Champion programme with the section you support.
